What’s in store today:

-The truth about the modern diet
-Becoming Response-able.
A few weeks ago I sat down in conversation with Dr Carole Robin, a former Stanford professor who’s an expert in interpersonal dynamics.
Her class Touchy Feely, for the record, was the most popular on campus. Not something you’d expect from a business audience on a mission to hit big numbers and goals.
Perhaps that’s the point we often miss…..
Building robust relationships is the biggest yet most underrated growth hack to thriving in life and work.
Besides, the fact that a crowd of academically inclined students were flocking to a class with that name shows how much people crave connection.
And that’s the irony...
As much as we create meaningful friendships, we aren’t willing to do what it takes to create them.
We’ll spend hours scrolling on social, liking or lurking on each other’s posts, and exchanging a few words of sweet nothings, none of which do anything to create a connection that lasts beyond a ‘follow’.

Building exceptional relationships takes more. Far more than we’re used to. (read vulnerability)
In Carole’s teachings, disclosure is reciprocal. Expecting the other person to share their life story while keeping your cards close is hardly fair and counterproductive to establishing trust.
Meaningful connection calls for going beyond your comfort zone and diving deeper while practicing open inquiry.
Carole applies the same principles in her company Leaders in Tech, where she helps start-up founders turn their ventures into unicorns.
Believe it or not, mastering the art of relationships plays a big part in making that happen.
The truth about the modern diet
Modern food consumption is as bad as it gets.
Ultra-processed foods being sold as healthy….
Poisonous ingredients being marketed as edible….
and a gigantic industry that continues to deceive us, all in the name of money.
Our diets have been compromised on levels that are hard to reverse unless we start taking some serious responsibility and that’s where lifesaver Dr. BP. comes in.
As a trusted clinical and author, Dr. B.P helps people take control and improve their metabolic health and inner functioning by making the truth more accessible.
Personally I’ve always been curious to explore the hidden lies that circulate in the diet industry, so this conversation was nothing less than honey to my ears.
We talked about:
-The biggest problems that confront our health
-Mainstream myths around nutrition
-The top 5 poisonous foods
-How to improve gut health and metabolism
and many more nuggets!

Becoming response-able
Most of us are in reaction mode 24×7.
But here’s the good news: No matter what a situation presents, you always get to choose your response.
The bad news? Making that choice, especially in the heat of the moment is bloody hard and probably the greatest test of character.
And that's where response-ability comes in: realizing that your responses are not necessarily driven by external circumstances or instinct.
As confronting as this journey may seem, the rewards of doing this work are high.
And becoming emotion-smart will help you access those rewards sooner.
