How to NOT change people
We’re always dealing with two versions of people in our world-
Who they are and who we want them to be.
Why can’t my boss be more relaxed…
Why can’t my partner be more adventurous..
Why can’t my kids be more disciplined….
On and on it goes..
And while we carry idealized versions of our significant others in our heads, we often unknowingly push them further away from who we hope they become- by shaming them.
A fundamental fact society has failed to recognize is that shame is counterintuitive to change. Constant self-criticism keeps us stuck and paralyzed. Just as shaming and blaming others creates resentment, rebellion, and an endless cycle of conflict.
Good luck getting a child to stop throwing a tantrum in a supermarket by yelling and calling them names.
As much as our conditioning has convinced us to use shame as a tool for change, it doesn’t work.
Compassion is a far more powerful force to inspire shifts in anyone and it starts by empathizing with where they currently are, not where you wish they were.
The reason is simple…
For no fault of our own, we humans are validation junkies. We love to be admired and hold our image high regardless of how questionable our behavior might be.
So the best way to get through to someone is to first appreciate them, show some understanding, and offer constructive feedback that separates the problematic behavior from their identity.
Common sense would have it that you gotta get them on your side.
When there’s enough trust and understanding, then it’s safe to dive in and lovingly kick their a$s.
Communicating with the ‘other side’
Few things are as painful as dealing with the loss of a loved one.
You wish time you could reverse time, do things better and just be able to talk to them.
But if what if the last option was possible?
Communicating with souls or non-spirit entities is not just a fictional idea seen in movies, it’s as real as it gets with a practice called mediumship.
In case you’re freaked out by the idea, dont be. My guest Dr Lenore Mathew speaks all about it in this episode.
From having lost her husband unexpectedly to suicide, Lenore was able to deal with her grief and find some missing answers by connecting with her husband in the other realm.
This conversation highlights:
💫The power of mediumship in navigating through grief
💫Finding meaning and purpose in loss
💫Awakening intuition and expanding spirituality
💫How to clear blocks with ‘Brainspotting’ and much more!

The dress that went viral causing worldwide debates as to whether it was black and blue or gold and white.
So much so that couples couldn’t stop arguing over it and people were unfriending each other, thinking others were crazy for not seeing the same thing.
A simple dress had divided humanity….
This example serves as a useful reminder that perception is subjective, which is why we all see the same thing differently. Our brains are constantly constructing our personalized versions of reality.
There is no one way to see the world and understanding this can save a great deal of polarisation and conflict.
What colors do you see anyway? 🤓
