The top 3 culprits of conflict
Beautiful being,
It’s that time of the week when you get a fresh dose of wisdom to level up your EQ (emotional intelligence, duh) and ninja through some of your biggest unspoken challenges.
What’s in store today:
Insight: The culprits of conflict
Podcast: Creating your best relationship
Reccomendation: My fav hack for sleep
Conflict plays out like a wildfire.
At its earliest, it's like a small spark that can be easily extinguished with some care and attention. Much like banter.
As it grows, it becomes a controlled burn, where arguments and disagreements can pave the way for some learning and growth.
But when left unchecked, it’s total destruction, destroying everything in its way just like the current Israel-Hamas war where thousands of lives are at stake and everyone’s peace is basically f#%$^d.
Whether it’s at a personal level or at a full-fledged global level, pursuing conflict is an unconscious, mindless ego game.
And here are some behaviors that contribute to it, which just btw we’re all guilty of:
Proving the need to be right. When this obsession takes over, things escalate downwards pretty fast. It almost blinds you from seeing anything else and the ability to see the other person’s perspective shuts down.
Focusing on the bigger picture and finding some common ground can be the saving grace here.
Another common pointless tendency is overidentifying with our beliefs. It’s bizzare how often we get so consumed by our opinions, that any challenge to our views becomes a question of our worth. At our core though, we’re far more than our thoughts and beliefs.
Staying neutral and curious has always helped me to be open to other’s perspectives and understand why they think the way they do.
Conflict also happens when people operate from a place of scarcity. This is essentially what countries are perpetually at war for. Fighting for resources or trying to claim their rights over some territory or the other. But it doesn’t end there. Scarcity mindsets are evident in the workplace with unhealthy competition, and even families with feuds over money and who gets what.
It takes a fundamental shift in thinking to drop these juvenile tactics and realize that abundance is God’s gift to us and that there is enough for everyone.
Creating your best relationship
Everyone wants great relationships, but few are willing to do the work.

Yes maintaining a strong relationship takes a heck of awareness and inner work.
And it starts right from when you’re trying to attract the right partner to when you're actually in a relationship with the person.
I had Case Kenny, famous for his relatably mindful nuggets on Instagram, share his views on what it takes to manifest love into our lives and maintain healthy relationships. He also shared common mistakes we all make and how to avoid them.
Whether you’re miserably single, dating, or married, you don’t wanna miss this.

When Insomnia Hits…
Getting good sleep is imperative and sets the tone for your day and overall health.
But we all have nights when sleep decides to play hide and seek and the world sees a zombie in action the next day.
When I’m sleep-deprived, I can be pretty cranky. In fact, I’d even go as far as saying, you don’t want to be around me.
Luckily I don’t face this often and usually get a good night’s rest. But a lot of people don’t and whenever someone mentions their sleep problems to me, I recommend them with Yoga Nidra.
This one’s a 20-minute guided meditation that invites you to relax every part of your body before you gradually and hopefully pass the eff out.
Feel free to write back, if it worked.
