👉🏻A simple way to avoid misunderstanings
Creativity works in mysterious ways.
We’re taught to pay attention and be laser-focused on whatever we’re trying to solve and yet the best ideas seem to hit in the shower.
In case you’re wondering, showers themselves don’t bestow these magical tendencies upon us. It’s the act of letting the mind float aimlessly that leads to unexpected insights.
Scientists called this mind-wandering and it comes with a ton of benefits. All those years of staring out of the window during class weren’t so bad after all…

A famous mathematical during the nineteenth century would be a testament to this…
Henry Poincare was struggling with a complex math problem. Despite hours of focused effort, he was getting nowhere. The solution finally struck his mind and it happened during one of the most unexpected moments while boarding a bus on vacation.
Turns out that allowing our minds to wander is the best way to make connections between things, which also happens to be a prerequisite for creativity.
Contrary to popular belief, controlling our thoughts too consciously is not necessarily the most productive way of functioning.
As long as mind-wandering doesn’t turn into rumination, it’s one of the best gifts we can give ourselves.
The next time you find yourself stuck in your head with a problem, remember that you’re probably only a few peaceful walks away from manifesting your solution.
Making life effortless
Life is a struggle. At least for 98% of humanity.
The constant pressure to succeed and make ends meet, dealing with unanticipated adversity, and the endless race we all seem to be trapped in chasing goal after goal only to still feel unhappy and unfulfilled.
Clearly something’s amiss, and this conversation will help you figure out what it is.

A simple way to avoid misunderstandings
The quality of any relationship is determined by the quality of communication between the people involved.
Unfortunately, most relationships are plagued by conflict because the core message gets lost amidst varying emotions and poor communication. It’s all about how the message is received rather than what is said.
A simple way to avoid this mess in the first place is paraphrasing. It’s something I often use in my conversations and here’s what it looks like:
Just to make sure I understand, are you saying…..? or
From what I’m hearing you say, it sounds like….?
Not only does this ensure that the message is fully understood but it also gives the person the opportunity to clarify their meaning or intent.
Most importantly, it conveys empathy and a clear intention that you care enough about the relationship to ask clarifying questions and strive toward mutual alignment.
Give this a shot next time, I promise, you won’t regret it.
